Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.
luke 23:46
From the very beginning of His life as a defenseless infant and during His ministry and finally during the Crucifixion, Jesus completely trusted in His Father. While Jesus spoke to the Scribes and Pharisees, He reminded them of His submission to the Father.
So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
And so it is not surprising that His last recorded words again submit Himself to the Father?
As we prepare for Easter services this weekend, let’s consider if we are completely surrendered to the Father in every area of our lives. is there anything off limits?
