Knowing God

Do you know Me well enough to trust Me?   The more I know and experience with God, the more I should trust Him, but why do I find myself struggling on my trying to live on my own terms?

I keep coming back to the main point of today’s study -A Broken Spirit is a dependent spirit.  Dependent upon God to achieve His righteousness; to save; to heal; to accomplish His plans in our lives individually and in the lives we lead.

I can know a lot about God through reading the Bible and listening to good teachers, but in order to know Him more personally, I must spend time with Him, not simply dictating my list of things for Him to do, but by praying God-Centered Prayers.

“Prayer is the assembly line for the broken spirit, where we broaden and deepen our understanding of God; where we sharpen our understanding of ourselves; where we renew our commitment to God’s agenda.”

Remember 2 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.

My plan for this week is to continue to structure time where I can be alone with God uninterrupted – free of distractions and focused on His greatness and promises.
