Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.

“What do you think about prayer? Do you think God really wants to talk with you? Do you think He really wants to hear what is on your heart?

The answer is, Yes, He really does. Our Father is an attentive counselor who listens to you in your trials. God isn’t distracted. God isn’t looking beyond you while you talk. God isn’t more concerned about the news of the day. God is there for you.

Beyond the whys, hows, whats, and whens of our trials is the reality of our need to submit to God. How do I surrender and keep surrendering?

The answer is in a prayer of dependence on God. So let’s “pour out our hearts to Him” and always remember –

Every trial I face is for my ultimate good because God is for me.
