Break the mold

My worldview, my philosophy, my attitudes, my relationships, my parenting, my marriage – everything has been transformed by my relationship with Christ.

Lee Strobel

Your worldview is defined as “a particular philosophy of life or conception of the world.”

For the Christian, there are two competing worldviews. Even though they are at odds with one another, the worldview of the culture around us and the Gospel of Christ challenges us to conform, to fit the mold.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Romans 12:2

Think of the world around you. What does our culture value? How does that contrast with the Gospel?

In the quote above, Lee Strobel describes his life’s transformation so that every aspect of his life, everything is impacted by Christ, a firm foundation.

But the challenge is daily. Every day we have to make a decision to say no to the pressure to conform to what is opposed to God’s best for our lives and we also invite God to transform our minds. When the way we think is changed, so are we.
