Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.2 Thessalonians 3:1-2
How many times have you been asked to pray for someone or for some crisis in the life of someone else? How many times have we nodded that we would pray and then give little thought and even less prayer?
As Paul concludes his second letter to the Thessalonians, he asks specifically for the believers to pray for his ministry. His request was simple – “that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored…”
I think most of us have good intentions. We intend to pray, but often life gets the best of us. So, if you do not have a prayer list, start one today and make it a regular part of your day.
