I believe that knowledge of the Bible without a college education is more valuable than a college education without the Bible.

William Lyon Phelps, former professor at Yale University

How important is God’s Word in your life?

I’ve seen and heard many people who are always looking for a new word from God, but many of them seem to be less enthusiastic about the primary way God has chosen to speak to each of us…. through His Word.

Consider these familiar passages:

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

“When you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.”

1 Thessalonians 2:13

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

In our chaotic world, hope is found in the revealed word of God found in the words of the Bible. Let’s lean on God’s word today.
