…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.Philippians 3: 13-14
This evening I received an alert for a new article on the Focus on the Family website, written by a pastor I’ve followed for more than a decade from Colorado Springs. In “Resolving to Endure Faithfully“, Phil Steiger writes,
Phil’s message is similar to that of the Apostle Paul in the verses above. Paul did not dwell on the successes or failures of the last year or decade and he certainly wasn’t someone who was trying to follow the latest trends in ministry, he would simply faithfully continue his personal journey toward Christ.
Most of us do not fill the role of pastor, but we all share a duty to faithfully endure in our lives as we move toward our ultimate goal in Christ. So as we begin yet another new year, let’s take this message to heart.
If you’d like to read the entire article by Pastor Steiger, you’ll find it here.
