As I’ve ruminated on the idea of God’s Holiness this week, I know there is a risk of making God seem somehow unapproachable, but that is hardly the case. I like the quote from A.W. Tozer above, because it is clarifying on the topic. Yes, we are nothing on our own, but in God, we are valued.
This morning Patrina and I prayed that our children would grow in the Grace of God and how that is only really possible when we humble ourselves before the LORD. Consider the words from James –
“And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,
“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:6-7
