Many years ago a sign painted on the back of a building facing an intersection read – “All roads lead to God. Choose one!”
While few would paint the sign on a building, many of the people I speak with today have a similar view. I hear phrases like, “It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe something” or “I am a spiritual person so I try to be a good person.” What have you heard?
Notice how these thoughts are in direct opposition to the statement made by Jesus in the verses above. Jesus is saying that all roads actually lead to Hell with the exception of the narrow gate that leads to Jesus alone.
Years ago, I produced a video with a friend of mine that featured Jesus’ claim from John’s Gospel –
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.John 14:6
Avoid the other roads. They are literally dead ends.
